Monstrous Food Sizes

Sleeping in? Not an option! Why? Why…Because of the fact that I started going back to work on Monday. I know most of you won’t sympathize but getting up and going to work at 7:00am when you used to getting up around that time or later is really hard work! My days have been filled with blood-shot eyes and the hopeful wish that everything will get done and ready by the end of this week (ready for teachers).

Since I started I have noticed that my brain still registers as being on vacation. It’s sad when you can’t remember where you’re phone on your desk is. Anyways to give my brain a break I thought that I would go out to lunch with a few colleges of mine. We decided to go to this Mexican restaurant across the street from the district offices. Looking at the dishes I thought they were a bit expensive…but I thought since I was there I would try and be good and order a salad. Looking at the options I thought the Fajita Salad might taste good. After awaiting my meal they finally came…everyone’s eyes bulged but I wasn’t sure why. Then the moment came and I saw my plate. My little eyes got just a little big.

My meager salad turned out to be a MOUNTAIN! It didn’t even seem like a salad…I was thinking more of a gigantic taco. The thing that was worse was two other people that worked for the district happened to witness this monstrous food size and started to laugh at my reaction. They had offered to cancel their order and help me eat it…but it never happened. I now have lunch and some dinner left out of this one meal! I now understand why it was so expensive. Salad my booty!
